| German Chocolate Cool Bars
1 cup of chocolate wafer crumbs 1/4 cup of melted margarine Two 4 ounce packages of German's chocolate 1/3 cup of milk One 3 ounce package of cream cheese One 12 ounce container whipped topping, thawed |
| Combine crumbs and margarine. Press onto bottom of 9" square pan. Grate or finely chop 1/2 package of the chocolate. Set aside. Heat remaining chocolate and milk over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. With a wire whisk, beat in cream cheese until smooth. Cool 5 minutes. Fold in 3 1/2 cups whipped topping and grated chocolate. Spread over crumbs. Spread remaining topping over chocolate layer. Freeze until firm, about 2 hours. Garnish as desired. Cut into bars. Makes about 15.

1 cup of chocolate cookie crumbs 1/4 cup of butter or margarine, melted Two 4 ounce packages of Baker's German sweet chocolate 1/3 cup of milk One 3 ounce package of cream cheese, softened One 12 ounce tub Cool Whip, thawed
Combine crumbs and butter; press firmly into 9" square pan. In double boiler, melt chocolate and milk over low heat, stirring until chocolate is melted. Whisk in cream cheese until smooth. Cool 5 minutes; fold in 3 1/2 cups Cool Whip. Spread over crumbs. Spread remaining Cool Whip over chocolate. Freeze until firm (about 2 hours). Garnish as desired; cut into bars.
