German Chocolate Pound cake

2 cups of sugar
1 cup of shortening
4 eggs
2 teaspoons of vanilla
2 teaspoons of butter flavor 
1 cup of buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon of soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 package of German sweet chocolate
3 cups of sifted flour

Cream sugar and shortening and add eggs, flavors and buttermilk. Sift flour, soda and salt together. Then add German chocolate that has been softened in warm oven or in double broiler. Blend together well. Cook in Bundt or plain pan that has been greased and floured. Cook about 1 1/2 hours at about 300ºF. Remove cake from pan while still hot.
