2 sticks of real butter 5 eggs 3 cups of cake flour 1 cup of milk 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 1/2 cup of Crisco 3 cups of sugar 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoon of rum flavoring |
| Blend butter and Crisco. Then cream with sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift baking powder with flour and add alternately with milk (1/2 each time). Add flavoring. Pour into greased pan and bake at 325ºF. for 1 1/2 hours. Rum Pound Cake 2
2 cups of sugar 1 stick of margarine 1 stick of butter 4 eggs 2 cups of plain flour 1 small can of Carnation milk 1 teaspoon of rum, vanilla or lemon flavoring
Mix sugar, butter, eggs, then add flour and milk alternately, and add flavoring. Start in cool oven. Bake for 1 hour 25 minutes at 325ºF. |
