Whisk the vinegar, sugar, ketchup, salt, pepper and hot sauce in a small bowl until the sugar dissolves. Place the cabbage in a large bowl. Add the dressing and stir until well combined. Taste and adjust seasonings. Refrigerate the slaw for about 1 hour before serving. Serves 8.
