Moist Meat Loaf

1 1/4 pound of ground beef
1 cup of bread crumbs
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup of milk
2 tablespoons of chopped green pepper
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of salt
1/8 teaspoon of pepper
1 can of tomato paste
1 pint of tomato juice


Combine all ingredients except tomato paste and juice, shape into loaf. Spread tomato paste over loaf. Bake at 350ºF.  for 20 minutes. Add juice and bake for 1 hour longer. Spoon sauce over slices of meat loaf when serving. Yield 8 servings
