Pork Chops A La Suisse
Stuffing
1 cup of soft bread crumbs
2 tart apples, peeled and diced
2 tablespoons of butter or margarine, melted
1/2 teaspoon of liquid gravy seasoning
1/8 teaspoon of crushed caraway seed
1/8 teaspoon of salt
a dash of pepper
6 pork chops ( 2 pounds), 3/4 inch thick
1 tablespoon of water
1/4 teaspoon of liquid gravy seasoning
Make Stuffing: Combine all stuffing ingredients in microwave safe medium
size bowl, mix well. Microwave at HIGH, 2 minutes, stirring several
times
Cut deep slit in side of each chop. fill with stuffing. Secure with
wooden picks. Place prepared chops in a single layer in microwave safe
12x7 1/2x inch dish, with thickest meaty areas toward edge and end piece
toward center of dish. Combine water and 1/4 teaspoon of gravy
seasoning, brush chops with half of mixture. Cover with waxed paper.
Microwave at MEDIUM, 20 minutes. Turn chops over. Brush with remaining
seasoning mixture. Re-cover with waxed paper, microwave at MEDIUM, 15
minutes or until tender. Remove from oven, let stand, covered,5 minutes
before serving. Makes 6 servings |
