Chili Buns
1 pound of ground beef
2 onions, chopped
1/2 teaspoon of pepper
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of oregano
1 tablespoon of chili powder
2 - 4 cups of canned tomatoes |
| Sauté the ground beef and onions, add
seasonings and add tomatoes. Cover tightly and simmer slowly for at least 30
minutes. Add more tomatoes for desired thickness. Butter buns and sprinkle
with garlic salt, toast lightly. Serve filling in buns or poured oven bun
halves with salad for quick lunch. Filling can be reheated. 6 servings
