| Swedish Meatballs 18
1 pound of ground beef 1/2 pound of ground pork 1/2 cup of minced onion 3/4 cup of fine, dry bread crumbs 1 tablespoon of minced parsley 1 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of pepper 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire 1 egg 1/2 cup of milk 1/4 cup of hot fat or oil 1/4 cup of flour 1 teaspoon of paprika 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of pepper 2 cups of boiling water 3/4 cup of sweet or sour cream |
| Mix thoroughly beef, pork, onion, crumbs, parsley, seasonings, egg and milk. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Brown in hot fat in heavy skillet. Remove meat balls from pan and stir flour, paprika, salt and pepper into fat. Stir in water and cream. Return meat balls to gravy. Cook 15 to 20 minutes. Serves 6 to 8. |
