| Spicy Short Ribs 2
3 pounds of short ribs or beef 1/4 cup of flour 2 tablespoons of shortening 1 can of condensed beef broth 1 cup of dried apricots 2 tablespoons of brown sugar 2 tablespoons of vinegar 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon of cloves 1/4 teaspoon of allspice |
| Dust ribs with flour; brown in shortening in large heavy pan. Pour off excess drippings. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over ribs. Cover; cook over low heat 2 1/2 hours or until ribs are tender. Turn ribs and baste with sauce often. Makes 6 servings. |
